Information for 4th Year Medical Students interested in doing an elective in Dermatology

The rotation consists of four weeks of outpatient clinics at Stroger Hospital. Students will work with residents and attending physicians on a variety of challenging clinical cases. In addition, they will have the opportunity to observe a variety of common dermatologic procedures. Typical hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Prerequisite: General Medicine
  • Duration: 4 week rotation
  • Clinical Rounds: Yes
  • Academic Sessions: Yes, daily
  • Call: None
  • Regular days off: Saturday and Sunday off.

Time off for interviews must be discussed with chief resident. Absences will not be considered excused unless approved in advance.
