Medical Toxicology Fellowship Program

Training is offered to graduates of Occupation Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine. The program includes principles of acute and chronic toxicology, pharmocology, pharmacokinetics, environmental toxicology, epidemiology, laboratory toxicology, and research methodology.

The trainee will have the opportunity to work closely with the Illinois Poison Control Center in managing cases throughout Cook County and the State of Illinois. Bedside consultations will be seen at John Stroger Hospital, Rush University Medical Center and the University of Illinois Hospital. Ongoing cases will be followed in the Occupational/Toxicology Clinic, and Pediatric Environmental Clinic. There will be extensive opportunity for the trainee to be active in teaching and education.
