| Description: |
The SBIRT project was funded to screen patients admitted to any of the three hospitals in the Cook County Bureau of Health Services or seen at select ambulatory clinics. Patients who report drug use or high-risk levels of alcohol consumption are assessed for consequences of their use and substance dependence disorder. A sample of patients are followed to determine drug use patterns 6 months after the initial evaluation. |
